The first Vaseboard® prototype: Created in my grandpa's barn

Vaseboard Prototyp Fertigung in der Scheune in Handarbeit

Before the Vaseboard® became a product, it was a simple prototype.

Built not in a workshop or studio, but in my grandpa's barn.

The beginning without infrastructure

At that time, there were no machines, no professional equipment, and no clear process.

Just an idea and the desire to bring it into a first tangible form.

The implementation began with simple means:

An old drill, sandpaper, and wood.

Craftsmanship as a foundation

As a trained carpenter, working with material was familiar, even if the conditions were far from ideal.

The focus was on building a first functional object that would make the idea visible.

Not a perfect result, but a beginning.

From raw material to the first object

Step by step, the first Vaseboard® was created.

A simple board, an opening for the vase, and the question of how to combine function and design.

In the end, there was a first object that could be mounted on the wall.

For the first time, an idea became a real product in space.

More than just a prototype

The first prototype was not perfect.

But it worked.

And that was precisely what was crucial.

It showed that the idea was viable and that it was worth developing further.

The origin

The barn was where it all began.

A simple space, simple means, and the first step from idea to reality.
